Windsor Cross-Country Horse Ride 2016
This annual and very popular event took place in Windsor Great Park on the weekend of 10th and 11th September 2016. Over 300 riders each day followed the 9 mile route through the beautiful park grounds. The course also included 30 optional jumps for the novice and experienced riders. The weather on Saturday was drizzle most of the day but the Sunday was cloudless and glorious. Burnham Lions helped on the start / finish line, checking the riders out and back. This was the 40th year for this event and during this time it has raised almost £2 million for local and international good causes and charities.
