Shoeboxes
Shoeboxes are wrapped, filled and sent to boys and girls in Africa. and Eastern Europe.
As a club we have decided to make up the boxes for teenage girls and boys. Below is a list of some of the items the box can contain. The suggestion is that each box needs to contain some of the elements from each category.
Toys:
Jigsaws, small musical instrument, for girls clip on earrings,
Educational Supplies:
Felt pens, pencils, pencil sharpener, rubber, colouring books, notepad, picture or puzzle book, chalk, pencil case stickers.
Hygiene Items:
Tooth brush, toothpaste, hairbrush, comb, hair clips, bar of soap, flannel.
Sport Items:
Tennis balls, skipping rope, baseball hat, inflatable beach ball, stop watch, sweat bands,
Other Items:
Sweets (sell by date to be at least March the following year), gloves, hats, sunglasses, bangles, necklaces.
The list is not exhaustive, so anything else that you think is suitable for a girl and boy please add to the box.
